I think today\u2019s performance went well. A glow for me, would be that I felt I connected with my fellow actors on stage. I was able to put my energy towards Maxine, Tony, the inspector, and Lesgate as opposed to my fellow actors or unforeseen challenges\/blips. I think that is the most breathtaking skill that I am really beginning to learn and make part of my acting process! Focusing on my circles of attention and creating a story that is detailed and specific has become something I really enjoy doing! It has been such a lovely part of this process. It makes my character more real and genuine than anyone I have ever played before. It also helps me to stay connected and one with the scene! Even when I lose my way, training my focus has given me the skillset necessary to refocus my intentions! What a lovely skill that is!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot wait to continue forward next weekend after getting some rest! I look forward to working hard to keep the energy of this show moving forward! I have a few specific goals for next weekend, one is to both prepare and act with as much tonality and consonant energy as I possibly can. I want to be understood, clear, and precise in everything that I do! I am going to feel insane and that is a good thing! Next, I want to read over my script and get back to being word perfect. Sometime along the train this weekend I have lost sight of that and that is not what I want. I can and will do better. Finally, I want to relax and know that I can do what it takes to perform Margot. I have grown to care for her so much and I want these final four performances to be strong and detailed! I need to relax and know that I have filled my tank enough to make it happen. I need to remember that they chose me for this part for a reason. I can handle it. I have everything in me available to make it happen.
