I feel like I took a step in the right direction today! The consonants were definitely more robust than they have been for any show yet. I felt confident in the fact that I was improving and that made me very happy. Tomorrow will be even better! I want to focus more on specific moments that I still feel are getting lost. I want to make sure each moment is precise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For some reason I got really sick before going on for the final scene today. I definitely needed to throw up but I just didn\u2019t have time for that. We got done and Ben asked if I was okay. I definitely was and I was proud of myself for working through it but it made me so nervous! I would never want something to happen onstage. Ben and I also talked about how the scene went in a more general sense. He always says that he feels more and more connected to Tony each day. Which I love! (and I can also tell!) I\u2019m sure he could say the same thing about me. I think all that means is that we are making new discoveries each night. And that is as it should be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m proud of this cast for being open to learning together and working hard towards a continuous goal. When we talked about goals on one of our first days, my two main takeaways were creating a hard working, productive environment and meeting in the work. With this cast that always is the case and I really appreciate the energy that each of them have brought to this production. I feel like we are a connected machine that gets better every day. I really appreciate all four of them for always being there. We love helping each other and teaching each other new things backstage so that we can all improve as a group. They learn vocal warm ups from me, and we all learn stretches from Jonah, calming warm ups from Rob, and breathing exercises from Ben while Erika always brings the humor to make us all loosen up. I feel really blessed to have had them here for this experience. They have made me a better actor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
