Today was our final rehearsal before our pay what you can preview! I was so excited for rehearsal today. I love last minute touch ups and making sure that everything feels polished and accurate before we move on to being in front of an audience.
Our first step today was intimacy training. I have never done that before and I was a bit worried about it but it was super chill. I really trust both Ben and Rob and I think that is so helpful in this process. It’s easy to just be a silly actor with both of them. They have been helping me with warm ups and relaxation techniques backstage. We all have been making a big effort to help each other out! I feel like today that came through for us and the training went well!
The rest of rehearsal was spent running the show. I have to try not to think about the fact that people will be here and just focus on relaxing into Margot. She is such a challenge to play and it requires all of my concentration. There’s no space in my head to worry about what my hands are doing or the fact that someone is looking at me. I just place all my energy on Maxine, Tony, Lesgate, and the inspector. That is enough! I am thrilled that tomorrow some students and friends get to finally meet Margot. I want to understand how some moments fall on an audience. I want to hear them make noise! I can’t wait!
